I didn't like musicals and now I do.  I used to cringe when someone was forced to sing in a movie or series (consequence of disney channel I guess) but in this case they take advantage of that and with the use of music is able to convey more emotion and feeling in a short time. The whole plot and characters are interesting and issues such as discrimination are very well treated. Zendaya reminds me of her performance in "shake it up".
